Walk helps support suicide prevention

With the death of Robin Williams, depression and suicide has been talked about and brought to the attention of America. As doctors and friends have said of Robin, we did not know he was in pain, and depression is a disease you cannot see. That is why we walk in the AFSP – Out of the Darkness Walk for Rita in Saratoga each year. Our hope is to bring awareness and education to all about this disease. It should be talked about and viewed just as asthma or cancer, not left in the dark as it seems to be now.

Please join us Sept. 21 or make a donation to this worthwhile cause. Our team is Team Hope Mayfield and can be found at the following link -afsp.donordrive.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=donorDrive.team&teamID=60692. From there, people can join our team, make a donation or do both.

Please understand if a loved one or friend seems more withdrawn than usual, it may not be something they will get over; ask, support and have them seek help by calling this hotline number:1-800-273-TALK (8255).
