Johnstown appoints teachers

JOHNSTOWN – Existing teachers were praised and new teachers hired at a recent meeting of the Greater Johnstown School District Board of Education at Johnstown High School.

Teachers were lauded for getting ready for another year of instruction and curriculum changes. The 2014-15 school year begins next week. Elementary teachers in the district are also readying themselves for changes associated with grade-level grouping at the start of the new school year.

Superintendent Robert DeLilli said teachers have been “extremely busy” this summer with professional development.

“It’s good to hear what we’re doing is favorable,” DeLilli said. “It’s a very exciting time for the teachers and administrators in Johnstown.”
