Drunken driving charged after crash
MINDEN -A Fort Plain motorcyclist was charged by state police Saturday after crashing his motorcycle into a car and injuring his female passenger.
Troopers charged Dale J. Porter, 43, of 1528 River Road after he crashed his motorcycle into a car on River Road. Troopers charged Porter with misdemeanor operating a motor vehicle while impaired, after an investigation determined he was under the influence at the time of the accident, state police said.
Troopers said Porter was traveling at a high rate of speed when failed to stop for a Honda Accord and hit the vehicle which was traveling on the same road. A female passenger on his motorcycle was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, state police said.
Porter is scheduled to be arraigned in Town Court at 4 p.m. Aug. 28.
