Police: City man lied about robbery
GLOVERSVILLE – A city man is facing charges after city police said he lied about being robbed.
Jonathan L. Morgan, 25, of 38 Homestead Drive, was charged with third-degree falsely reporting an incident in the third degree on Tuesday.
Police said they investigated Morgan’s report of being assaulted and robbed Tuesday afternoon while in an apartment he was planning on moving into at 43 First Ave. in the city. An investigation found he fabricated the report of assault and robbery for personal reasons.
Morgan was issued an appearance ticket for city court at a later date.
