The Earl’s Chair set for Aug. 23 at park
NORTHVILLE – Irish music group The Earl’s Chair will perform at 6 p.m. Aug. 23 at Waterfront Park on Main Street.
The event is sponsored by the Sacandaga Valley Arts Network.
The Earl’s Chair has performed traditional Irish music and songs for several years, a news release said. The band plays sets of jigs, reels, hornpipes and waltzes. The band is a regular on “Irish Thursdays” at the Lakehouse Grill in Wells, and performs throughout the area, according to the release.
Special guests at this concert will be John Roberts on concertina and banjo and Lisa Preston on harp.
Admission is free at outdoor SVAN music events, with voluntary good-will donations accepted.
