Library slates events for end of summer

GLOVERSVILLE – The Gloversville Public Library will hold a “volcano” workshop Wednesday and a puppet show, “Little Leonardo’s Flying Machines,” on Aug. 19. Both events begin at 10:30 a.m.

Previous classes at the library included constructing bridges and towers using dry pasta, marshmallows and white glue. Any child who created one of these at the library, or at their home, may bring it in and enter it in the science fair, a news release said. There is no registration required. The science fair will be held together with the end of summer party from 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 20.

In celebration of the Adult Literacy Summer Program, apple crisp and ice cream will be offered from 5 to 6:45 p.m. Friday.
