Donations helped basketball team net trip

On behalf of the Foothills Hoop Club eighth-grade girls AAU travel basketball team, I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to the following businesses and people who generously donated toward our fundraising efforts to help this local group of girls travel to the ESPN Wide World of Sports in Florida and compete in the AAU Division 1 National Championships:

The members of the team: Jesse VanNostrand, Sydney Sheldon, Camryn Meca, Jackie Akey, Gabby Brown, Alex Benfatti, Kerri Hauser, Gabby Langley, Jasmine Gonzalez and Harmony Philo represented four different schools from our area -Gloversville, Mayfield, Northville and Broadalbin-Perth. Qualifying for the Division 1 Nationals was a great accomplishment. The experience and competition they saw is something that will last a lifetime.

Again, I would like to thank all of our very generous supporters, including the many people who donated at our various coin drops. It is a true demonstration that our local communities are filled with generous, caring and compassionate people. The entire Foothills Hoop Club team and parents thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
