Police: Investigation nets alleged burglars

HOPE – State police in Mayfield say a month-long investigation into a burglary at a town residence led to the arrest of two Fulton County residents.

Erin Jobin, 39, of Gloversville, and Kyle Walrath, 22, of Johnstown, were charged with second-degree burglary.

Troopers said numerous antiques and household items were taken from the residence during the July 1 incident.

After an investigation that included assistance from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, who were investigating items stolen from vehicles in the area, it was discovered that Jobin and Walrath were responsible for the burglary at the residence.

Both were remanded to the Hamilton County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
