Office for Aging lists meals, sites
JOHNSTOWN – The Fulton County Office for the Aging luncheon meals are available for anyone 60 or older and their spouse regardless of age if they attend with a spouse. The suggested contribution per meal is $3, but no one is denied if they are over age 60.
Reservations must be made in advance at the site or by calling OFA at 736-5650 by 9 a.m. of the day you want to attend. All sites are open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and lunch is served at noon.
The Gloversville site in the Forest Hill Towers community room, 31 Forest St. and the Johnstown site in the Shirley J. Luck Senior Citizens Center, 109 E. Main St., are both open Monday through Friday; Perth Senior Citizen Center, 1849 County Highway 107, is open every Monday and Wednesday; the Petoff Garden site, 305 County Highway 155, Vails Mills and the Northville Red Rooster site at the BCON Building, corner of North Main Street and Bridge Street, are both open every Thursday; the Caroga Lake, Broadalbin and Mayfield sites are all open on a rotating basis.
Chicken and wild rice casserole, beets, applesauce, wheat bread, ambrosia.
Barbecue beef sandwich, baked beans, squash, hamburger roll, pudding.
Baked chicken, seasoned noodles, red cabbage, rye bread, cookie.
Egg salad cold plate, potato salad, cottage cheese, white bread, “berries in a cloud.”
Stuffed pepper casserole with rice, corn, Italian bread, chef’s choice cake.
Baked fish, tater tots, cauliflower, hamburger roll, fruit cocktail.
