Registration open for reading program

FONDA – The Frothingham Free Library, 28 W. Main St., is still taking registrations for the 2014 Summer Reading Program – Fizz, Boom, Read!

The summer reading program is for children and teens ages 1 to 18. The registration and all programs are free.

The programs will include music, art, science, technology, engineering and math, a news release said. The complete summer schedule is available at the library, on the library’s blog and on its Facebook page. Children must be accompanied by an adult to all programs, the release said. All programs must be registered for by calling the library at 853-3016 during library hours: from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday; from noon to 7 p.m. Friday; and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

The library will host science activities from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. School-age children and their families are invited. This program is sponsored by the Mohawk Valley Library System and the GE Volunteers, a global organization of General Electric volunteers, the release said.
