FMCC soccer camp slated for August

JOHNSTOWN – Fulton-Montgomery Community College will host its annual youth soccer camp Aug. 11-15.

The camp is for teens and pre-teens. Campers can participate in this popular camp in half-day (9 a.m. to noon) or full-day (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) sessions.

The camp’s instruction will include small-group work with attention to individual needs, demonstration, games, and scrimmaging.

The camp is organized for maximum skill development and fun for all ages.

The camp director will be FMCC men’s soccer head coach Donn Truax. The staff will include current and former members of FM’s men’s and women’s soccer teams and other experienced soccer personnel.

Tuition for the half-day session is $125 per camper and $175 for the full-day session per camper. Tuition includes a camp gym sack, a camp soccer ball, and a personal, written evaluation for each camper.

The registration period is now open. Parents or guardians can print the camp brochure and mail in its registration form. The brochure is available at the FMCC men’s soccer website (www.fmraidersathletics.com/sports/msoc) or by requesting a brochure by mail by calling Robin Towne at 736-3622, Ext. 8405 in the public safety office during normal business hours.
