JOHNSTOWN – The Fulton County Board of Supervisors recently authorized a $427,927 county contract with Alcatel-Lucent of Wall, N.J., for microwave hardware, engineering and installation for the county’s interoperable radio communications project.

In other county business:

A deputy budget director/county auditor position was created and a principal account clerk position abolished in the office of county Budget Director Alice Kuntzsch.

The board passed a proclamation recognizing local resident Joe Hall’s June 27 induction into the American Football Association Semi-Pro Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.

He was a running back with the Glove Cities Colonials, which had a record of 74 wins and 32 losses during his play there. Hall led the team to the Empire Football League Championship in 1974.
