DWI alleged after accident

GLEN-A Fultonville man was charged with drunken driving Saturday after he was injured in an accident, authorities said.

Thomas James Jordan, 32, of 124 Gordon Road, Fultonville, was charged by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies with driving while intoxicated, failing to keep right, failing to use a designated lane, speeding, a seatbelt violation and driving on the left side of the roadway while on a grade.

According to Undersheriff Pete Vroman, Jordan and a passenger were seen by a deputy speeding on Route 30A Saturday night. A deputy went after them, but lost sight of them.

Eventually, the car was found in the road after a one-car accident, Vroman said.

Vroman said the driver, Jordan, had lost control.

Vroman said Jordan was taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital for his injuries. Vroman did not know the nature of the injuries or whether the passenger also was injured.

Jordan was issued tickets and is scheduled to return to court at a later date.
