Raider Trader store offers textbooks, more
Times have changed from the days when your only choice was a brick and mortar store that closed early and offered limited inventory.
At Fulton-Montgomery Community College, The Raider Trader College Store provides an omni-channel shopping experience to ensure the entire campus community has 24/7 access to what they want, when and where they want it.
Customers can browse large selections of course materials, supplies, clothing, technology, convenience and more in the college store, located on the lower level of the College Union, or choose to order from our endless aisle of products at www.raidertradershop.com. The online storefront can be accessed from a laptop, tablet or smartphone, making it easy to shop on the go or at home.
This flexibility is afforded by the college’s partnership with Follett Higher Education Group. Follett was identified as the company with the best resources, technology and course material offerings to support Fulton-Montgomery’s students, parents, faculty, staff and alumni. Follett brings more than 100 years of experience serving the needs of the academic community, from K-12 to college. What does this mean for the FM community?
Students will have access to a huge and growing assortment of course materials in a variety of formats. Some students want to purchase their course materials new; while others prefer used, rental or digital titles. The Raider Trader College Store offers choices so students can choose what works best according to what classes they’re taking, how they study and what fits within their budgets. Most importantly, students will be prepared from day one with the materials needed for success.
Choice also means savings. Let’s face it; college is a big investment, which can be stressful for students and parents. Follett drives student savings with affordable options like the largest inventory of used textbooks in the industry, year-round buyback services and text rental, a very popular option among students. The college store’s Rent-A-Text program saves students on average 50 percent or more compared to purchasing new, and provides a risk-free rental experience with the ability to highlight, take notes and convert the rental to a purchase should the student decide to keep the text.
Worried about not being able to use financial aid online? Don’t be. We accept multiple payment types, including credit cards and financial aid. If the student has filed the appropriate paperwork, the aid should be available during that semester’s deferral period. Upcoming deferral dates are: fall 2014 – Aug. 4 to Sept. 17; and spring 2015 – Jan. 12-Feb. 5.
Students just need to grab their schedule, log on to www.raidertradershop.com, create an account, add items to their cart, check out using financial aid as the payment option and choose the appropriate shipping method. Online customers have the option to ship direct or ship to the store for free. It’s as easy as that.
As the FM community gets settled into campus and course material questions arise, we encourage all students, faculty and staff to visit the store to say “hi” and check out our new assortments, from textbooks to phone chargers and fan gear. We look forward to seeing you.
