Developers have applied to the state for a license for the $250 million casino, which would include slot machines, gaming tables, a hotel, villas and golf courses. The project would create 453 temporary construction jobs and 850 permanent casino jobs, according to the developers.

The proposed casino is on 500 acres of land in the city of Amsterdam and town of Florida, just off Thruway Exit 27.
