Approval received for new tattoo shop

GLOVERSVILLE-Terrie and Kevin Birmingham received approval to open their Tattoo Artist-At-Large shop on 126 W. Fulton St. after submitting final details to the planning board.

According to Sean Geraghty, senior planner, there was nothing stopping them from getting full approval to open their shop. They needed to verify their off-street parking and shop dimensions, Geraghty said.

The Birminghams will administer various tattoos at the shop and would like to eventually sell art, necklaces, jewelry and apparel, according to their application.

Robert Robbins, the city building inspector, said the Birminghams have received their certificate of occupancy and should be moving towards opening their shop.
