Concert planned

at Stone Church

STONE ARABIA – The Stone Arabia Preservation Society will host the Boys of Wexford in concert July 13 at the Stone Church.

The Boys of Wexford have been performing along the Erie Canal for more than 10 years. They play a blend of Americana music, canal tunes and various forms of Celtic music, a news release said.

The concert will begin at 2 p.m. A free-will offering will be accepted.

The Stone Church is on Route 10, three miles north of Palatine Bridge.

Joseph Seney of Gloversville. Seney majored in computer science and mathematics and cognates for a second major.

Ryan Thomas of Fultonville. He is the son of John and Dawn Thomas. Thomas majored in biology and business administration.

Chelsea Koch of Nelliston. She is the daughter of Robert and Colleen Koch. Koch is majoring in biology and chemistry and cognates for a second major.

Courtney Cirillo of Johnstown. She is the daughter of Peter and Vivienne Cirillo. Cirillo is majoring in nursing.

Thomas Dwyer of Fultonville. He is the son of Lauren Bibby and Thomas Dwyer. Dwyer is majoring in economics and computer science.

Kelsey Rasefske of Broadalbin. She is the daughter of Mary and Robert Rasefske. Rasefske is majoring in biochemistry and psychology.

Lauren Smouse of Gloversville. She is the daughter of Michael and Sharon Smouse. Smouse has not yet declared a major.

Mackenzie Stahler of Canajoharie. She is the daughter of Marie and Gary Stahler. Stahler is majoring in psychology.

Anna Sweet of Fort Plain. She is the daughter of Brian and Patricia Sweet. Sweet is majoring in English.

Monica Wendell of Fonda. She is the daughter of F. Timothy and Lynn Wendell. Wendell is majoring in business administration.

Support group

plans meeting

GLOVERSVILLE – HealthLink Littauer announced a local cancer support group has been formed and will meet Tuesday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in Littauer’s Conference Room B, 99 E. State St.

This new group is for anyone dealing with cancer. Participants will receive support and education in a comfortable setting. People will meet other patients, survivors and caregivers, and help with planning future meetings, topics and speakers, a news release said.

The meetings are free and will be held on the second Tuesday of each month. No enrollment is necessary. For more information, call group leader Sheila Lewis at 725-1421.

VonZwehl named

to honors list

MADISON, N.J. – Luke VonZwehl of Mayfield, a student at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Florham Campus, was named to the honors list.

To qualify for the honors list, a student must carry a 3.5 or better grade-point average.

Ligon named

to dean’s list

ROCHESTER – Nathaniel Ligon, the son of Paul and Jennifer Ligon of Gloversville, was named to dean’s list for the spring semester at St. John Fisher College, a news release said.

Ligon, a junior, is a sport management major.

Assessor’s office

to close Friday

GLOVERSVILLE – The city assessor’s office will be closed from Friday to July 11.

The office will reopen July 14.

City Water Board

to meet Monday

GLOVERSVILLE – The city Water Board will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at 67-73 S. Main St.
