Support for library great
The Friends of the Gloversville Public Library would like to once again thank the Gloversville community for its continued support of our annual June Book and Bake Sale and to all our patrons who came to buy books. Thank you, also, to all the volunteers who helped to make this event a tremendous success. Many thanks to all who donated books and to those who donated baked goods for the bake sale. Our “book ladies” – Lois Edwards, Kay Fassett and Carolyn Siarkowski – spend many hours sorting and organizing books and working at the sale; our volunteers – Sue DeLilli, Antoinette Tropia, Pat Donovan, Donna Gendron, Bonnie Clizbe, Myrna Longhenry, JoAnn Clear, Bobbi Nigro, Grace Lomanto, Patty Hoye, Janet Winig, Joan Ciaccio, Xenia Page, Ginni Mazur, Barb Reppenhagen, Lynn DiMarco, Mary Jane Fredericks, Nancy Krawczeski and Lisa Buggeln – are always willing to work at the sale. Wanda Ellis calls other volunteers to arrange for baked goods; and George Emden, John Mazur, and Jim Flint help with cleanup and recycling. A big thank you to all.
Our next Friends’ book sale is scheduled for Oct. 14 from 4 to 7 p.m. and Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Donations of children’s books, adult fiction and non-fiction, DVDs and current magazines may be left at the front desk, or call the library (725-2819) to arrange for pickup.
Your support for the Gloversville Public Library is greatly appreciated.
