Board set to choose between principals

FONDA – The Fonda-Fultonville Central School District school board is scheduled to select its new associate superintendent on Monday.

The appointment is scheduled to happen during the monthly board meeting, scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. in the multipurpose room in the middle school.

The candidates have been narrowed down to elementary school principal Thomas Ciaccio and high school principal David Halloran. Both men gave 15 minute presentations June 10 and met with the board Monday.

The board is also scheduled to vote on extending the contract of Interim Superintendent Raymond Colucciello.

The associate superintendent will work under Colucciello and will stay on as principal of the school he is currently in charge of, officials said.
