Gloversville players named all-stars

A pair of Gloversville players were among those selected for the recently announced Foothills Council boys tennis all-star team.

Damian Bruce and Marko Markovic were named all-stars for the Huskies, who went 8-3 overall and 8-2 in Foothills Council play. The 8-2 mark in Foothills action was the best league record Gloversville has had in the 10-match format.

Scotia-Glenville, which went 13-2 overall and won the league title with a 10-0 record, had Adam Ashcroft, Alex Sausville and Aaron Keegan named to the all-star team.

Queensbury, which was 7-5 overall and 6-4 in league play, had Patrick McMore named to the all-star team.

Also named Foothills Council all-stars were Glens Falls’ Jack Balton, South Glens Falls’ Richard Arnold and Hudson Falls’ Austin Trumbull.
