Road work planned for Johnstown
JOHNSTOWN – The state announced on Tuesday that $1 million in federal funding will be provided for a project to reconfigure Route 30A, at its intersection with Route 29 and Harrison Street in the city.
A news release said the intersection will be expanded from three lanes with wide shoulders to five lanes. The improvement will also convert the existing open drainage system to a curbed and closed drainage system, the release said.
The two traffic signal systems will also be reconstructed and sidewalks will be installed on both sides of the highway, the release said.
