What Women Do begins meeting
CAROGA – What Women Do, a community outreach group of the North Bush United Methodist Church, has begun meeting for the summer, a news release said.
All of the meetings are free and open to the public, the release said.
WWD meets on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. at the church, located at 1009 North Bush Road.
Each year, the release said, the group chooses a local organization to support. This year, it’s has chosen the Lifesaver Ministries in Gloversville.
Lifesaver Ministries supports and works with women who are faced with an unplanned pregnancy, those who may be considering or have had an abortion, and families struggling to raise young children, the release said.
What Women Do will make and donate items that can be used to help support these women and their families. If people have any usable material they don’t know what to do with, WWD will accept a donation, the release said. As part of its summer program, WWD will also be hosting a Bible study about heaven.
If people have any questions or want to make a donation, they can call 835-3023 or the church at 835-6884.
