Gloversville Reads good

The Gloversville Public Library’s 2014 edition of Gloversville Reads was a huge success. Starting with nominations and then a final vote, the community chose “Mohawk” by Richard Russo as this year’s Reads title. We would like to thank all of our partners whose time, energy and effort went into making the program so successful. We thank our friends at the Gloversville Enlarged School District, WENT, The Leader-Herald, local restaurant participants, the Fulton County Museum, many local authors, the library staff, the family of the late Frank Ambrose, many community volunteers, Vince DeSantis and Paul Larner, who all played a part in bringing this library program to the community.

We would also like to thank everybody in the community who supported this program by reading the book and attending the programs.

More than 100 people attended programs at the library, and “Mohawk” was borrowed 35 times.

We look forward to Gloversville Reads 2015.
