Heartwarming support for Johnson Jog

We would like to express our appreciation to everyone who helped to make the Johnson Jog a success again this year. It is heartwarming to see the number of individuals and organizations committed to supporting the Johnson Hall State Historic Site.

We were fortunate to have the backing of many sponsors, including CG Roxane, Fage, A&E Sportswear, Frontier Communications and Calix, along with numerous other businesses that recognize the importance of this historic symbol of our heritage.

We are also indebted to the Johnstown Police Department, Johnstown Department of Public Works, staff of Johnstown City Hall, the Johnstown Area Volunteer Ambulance Corps, the Tryon Amateur Radio Club, and Henkels and McCoy for providing their services to ensure the safety and enjoyment of the participants.

In addition, we would like to thank the Fulmont Roadrunners Club for its finish line and results expertise, and the re-enactors and cannon guard who helped to make the experience authentic.

We are extremely grateful to all of the volunteers, including the Frontier CAT team and the Johnstown High School baseball team, which agreed to help in countless ways on a very busy weekend.

A huge share of the credit for the success of this event goes to Wade Wells and the staff at Johnson Hall, as well as the members of the Friends of Johnson Hall. It was truly a collaborative effort.
