Jessica Lee Mitchell, the daughter of Kevin and Becky Mitchell of Pittsboro, Ind., was united in marriage to Petty Officer 1st Class Christopher William Thompson, the son of Linda and Walter “Skip” Thompson of Northville, on May 11.

The ceremony took place on the beach in Emerald Isle, N.C. Triston Mitchell, uncle of the bride, officiated.

The bride was escorted by her father.

The maid of honor was Lindsey Mitchell of Jamestown, Ind. The bridal attendants were Paige Mitchell of Brownburg, Ind., sister of the bride, and Laura Cooper of Newburgh, Ind. The flower girl was Jacklynn Mitchell.

The best man was Petty Officer 1st Class George Flemming of Virginia. The groomsmen were Nicholas Robinson of Hope, Jason Baker of Northville and Petty Officer 1st Class Jeremy Knapp of New Jersey. The ringbearer was Colton Mitchell.

The bride recently graduated with a master’s degree in child welfare has been a state child case worker in Indiana.

The bridegroom is a 2003 graduate of Northville Central School and is an 11-year veteran of the Coast Guard.

The couple will be moving this month to Pensacola, Fla. as part of Thompson’s rotating schedule.
