FMCC begins bus service in Amsterdam
JOHNSTOWN – In response to the cancellation of bus service from the city of Amsterdam Transit to Fulton-Montgomery Community College effective Tuesday, FMCC has contracted with Brown Transportation to provide bus service to the college for students who require it, a news release said.
The buses will run during Summer Session I, which has started and ends June 25, and Summer Session II, from June 26 to July 31.
Pick-up and drop-off locations will stay the same as they were with the city of Amsterdam Transit, and are as follows:
Run No. 1, Monday through Friday, will pick up students at 7:15 a.m. at the Riverfront Center; 7:16 a.m. from the Stewart’s on East Main Street; 7:19 a.m. from the Stewart’s on Market Street; and 7:24 a.m. from the Stewart’s on Guy Park Avenue. The bus will arrive at FMCC at 7:45 a.m.
Run No. 2, Monday through Friday, will pick up students from the same locations listed above at 8:20 a.m., 8:21 a.m., 8:24 a.m. and 8:29 a.m., respectively, arriving at FMCC at 8:45 a.m.
Return buses will run at 1:05 p.m. and again at 4:10 p.m.
Bus passes and bus tickets are available for purchase at the college, the release said.
