Thanks for supporting library’s budget

The Friends of the Gloversville Public Library would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who voted May 6 to approve the library’s budget for another year. Your support is crucial for the library to be able to maintain and expand services to the community. The Friends also are very grateful for the success of our fundraisers this year at local restaurants – Friendly’s, Applebee’s and Plaza Italian Bistro. These local businesses were eager to help us in planning these events and those who participated enjoyed a great meal.

Upcoming fundraisers include a Prince and Princess Party for the library’s youngest patrons May 31. Tickets are available at the library. Space for this event is limited to 40 children, so purchase your tickets early. Miss Outstanding Fulton County Teen Morgan Romano will be our special guest.

The popular semi-annual Friends’ Book and Bake Sale will take place June 10 and 11. There will be a large selection of books, so be sure to stock up for your summer reading. You can be sure the Friends will continue to focus on providing more of these special events to benefit the library.

As always, we count on and thank you for your support.

NANCY KRAWCZESKI,

Vice president, Friends of the Gloversville Public Library
