H.S. Softball Roundup: Scotia-Glenville blanks B-P, 15-0

SCOTIA – Jen Mayette threw a two-hitter to lead Scotia-Glenville to a 15-0 win over Broadalbin-Perth in a Foothills Council softball game Thursday.

Elizabeth Hosner and Sam Montague each had two RBIs for Scotia-Glenville (12-2 Foothills), while Ali Stuart had three singles. Lauren Melanson added a single and double for the Tartans.

Broadalbin-Perth slipped to 1-13 overall and 1-12 in Foothills Council play with the loss.

The Lady Patriots are scheduled to host Queensbury on Saturday at 10 a.m.

MOREAU – Amber Boudeau pitched a three-hitter to lead South Glens Falls to a Foothills Council win over Hudson Falls.

South Glens Falls improved to 15-2 overall and 12-1 in Foothills Council play with the win.

Tanner Barton allowed just one hit for Hudson Falls (7-7 Foothills), while Kate LaPan had a triple.

QUEENSBURY – Katie Shevlin had three singles and three RBIs to lead Queensbury to a Foothills Council win over Glens Falls.

Taylor Clarke finished with two singles and three RBIs for Queensbury (11-5 overall, 9-4 Foothills), while Alyssa Sparacia contributed a single, double and two RBIs. Amy Zuccaro struck out eight and walked none to earn the win in the circle for Queensbury

Ruby Caprood went 3-for-4 for Glens Falls (9-8 overall, 8-6 Foothills), which wrapped up its first winning season since 2010.

SCHOHARIE – Kendra Trembley had two singles and an RBI to lift Fort Plain to a WAC crossover win over Schoharie on Wednesday.

Desiree Suits added a double and two RBIs for the Lady Hilltoppers (7-9 overall).

Sydney Stanley had two singles and an RBI for Schoharie, while Gabby Danthine had a double and an RBI.

GALWAY – Sabrina Williams went 4-for-5 with a double and a triple to lead Galway to a WAC crossover win over Mekeel Christian.

Emily Zawisa had a home run, single and four RBIs for Galway, while Shelby Suits recorded a triple, two singles and four RBIs. Felicia Snyder added three singles for the Golden Eagles, and picked up the win in the circle, pitching a complete-game four-hitter.

Nicole Barratiere, Lexie Rychick, Lindsay McCarty and Elaina Taplin each had singles for Mekeel Christian.

VOORHEESVILLE – The Lady Braves put 11 runs on the board in the first inning on their way to a win over Voorheesville.

Brianne Egelston earned the complete-game win in the circle for FFCS (5-13 overall, 3-12 Colonial), allowing just four hits and striking out nine.

Cassandra Egelston had a grand slam, a two-run home run, two singles and six RBIs for the Lady Braves, while Miranda Nethaway had a two-run home run and a single.

Deanna Lee had a double, single and an RBI for Voorheesville.
