City man banging on windows: police
GLOVERSVILLE – An intoxicated 65-year-old city man was arrested Wednesday after he repeatedly knocked on a person’s windows and fired a BB gun in their backyard, police said.
Maurice Dennis, of 99 Prospect Ave., was charged with second-degree harassment and discharging a firearm in the city limits, both violations.
Police said they were called to 99 Prospect Ave. based on a report Dennis was knocking on the windows of an apartment.
Police said the residence is a multiple-unit dwelling, and Dennis was bothering another tenant.
An investigation revealed he was harassing another person by repeatedly banging on the windows of the apartment, police said.
Police said it was also discovered he was shooting wind chimes in the backyard with a BB gun. The BB gun was located and confiscated as evidence, police said.
Dennis was arraigned in City Court and released.
