Man threw knife at woman: deputies
PERTH – A Gloversville man who authorities said threw a steak knife at his ex-girlfriend’s head was jailed Tuesday.
Fulton County sheriff’s deputies said Jacob E. Shelmandine, 28, of 77 First Ave., Apartment 1, was charged at 6:25 p.m. with second-degree menacing, second-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment. He turned himself into the sheriff’s department.
Deputies said he allegedly had a family dispute with his ex-girlfriend at 10 a.m. Monday in the town of Perth. During the dispute, deputies said, Shelmandine grabbed the victim by her shoulders, shook her and pushed her. He then threw a steak knife at her head, missing her and embedding the knife in to a cupboard.
