H.S. Baseball Roundup: JHS loses to Scotia-Glenville

SCOTIA – Nick Schaub had a single, double, triple, four runs scored and five RBIs to lead Scotia-Glenville to a 16-6 win over Johnstown in a Foothills Council baseball game Tuesday.

Luke Mancini had a triple, single and four runs scored for the Tartans (12-5 overall, 11-3 Foothills), while Juliano Febo was 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Brett Sarnowski was 3-for-3 for Scotia-Glenvillle.

Johnstown slipped to 10-7 overall and 9-5 in Foothills Council play.

QUEENSBURY – Zack Parsons pitched a five-hitter to lead Queensbury to a Foothills Council win over Glens Falls.

Eric Daley, Kyle Chambers, Parsons and Joe Marasco each had two hits for Queensbury (15-4 overall, 14-0 Foothills).

Nolan Murphy had two singles for Glens Falls (12-5 overall, 9-5 Foothills), while Dylan O’Sick had a double.

GALWAY – Taylor Hartman had four hits to lead Galway to a Western Athletic Conference win over Duanesburg.

Hartman also struck out nine on his way to the complete-game victory for Galway (8-5 WAC).

FRANKFORT – Gianni DiSano, Justin Kiesow and Mitchel Shortt each had two hits to lead Frankfort-Schuyler to a win over Dolgeville.

Joe DeSarro added a double for the Maroon Knights, who scored six runs in the fourth inning to break the game open.

Mark Spina earned the complete-game win on the mound for Frankfort-Schuyler, striking out 11 and allowing five hits.

Kasey Foster had a double for Dolgeville (7-7 overall, 4-5 CSC).

On Monday, Jack Donnelly had two doubles to lead Cooperstown to a 15-5 win over Dolgeville.

Park Summers and Kevin Segit each had a double for the Hawkeyes.

Dakota Walrath and Danny Fox each had doubles for Dolgeville.
