Dr. Lauren Wasiczko, the daughter of Dr. Robert and Patricia Wasiczko of Troy, Rensselaer County, was united in marriage to Wayne Lair Jr., the son of Wayne and Deborah Lair of Johnstown, on Aug. 16, 2013.

The ceremony took place at St. Mary’s Church, Ballston Spa, Saratoga County. The Rev. Randall Patterson officiated.

The bride was escorted by her father.

The maid of honor was Megan Bucci of Mechanicville, Saratoga County. The bridal attendants were Kelly Lair of Johnstown; Amanda Hartnett of Stamford, Conn.; Christine Kennedy of Latham, Albany County; Devin Zylak of Dunbarton, N.H.; and Rebecca Bucci of New York.

The best man was David Gosson of Amsterdam. The groomsmen included Michael Wasiczko of Troy; John Belmont of Albany; Timothy Atkins of Loudonville, Albany County; Joseph Garba of New York; and Ryan Ashe of Albany.

A reception for guests took place at the Canfield Casino in Congress Park, Saratoga Springs.

A wedding trip took place in Antigua. The couple resides in Niskayuna, Schenectady County.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of Catholic Central High School, Troy; a 2009 graduate of Colby-Sawyer College, New London, N.H., with a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sports sciences; and a 2012 graduate of Sage College, Troy, where she received a doctorate in physical therapy. She works as a physical therapist at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital, Schenectady.

The bridegroom is a 2000 graduate of Johnstown High School; a 2007 graduate of the University at Albany with a bachelor’s degree in history; and a 2010 graduate of the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy at the University at Albany with a master’s degree in political science. He is a lobbyist with Statewide Public Affairs Inc.
