Hit-and-run

accident alleged

JOHNSTOWN – A hit-and-run occurred on East Main Street, 200 feet west of North Chase Street, on April 24.

According to the accident report, John Palmateer, 78, of 23 Highland Terrace, Gloversville, had parked his 2004 Ford suburban in front of 107 E. Main St. He had begun to open his door when a passing vehicle sideswiped his car. Palmateer was partially on the sidewalk, and his door did not present a hazard. The only discription of the vehicle that struck Palmateer’s car was a dark-colored, mid-sized vehicle.

Unlicensed operation charged

PALATINE BRIDGE – Duane Clyde Kendle, 56, of 166 Chapman Drive in Amsterdam, was arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday, deputies said.

Deputies said Kendle was driving on West Grand Street in the village with a revoked driver’s license.

Kendle is set to appear in Palatine Town Court on May 15 at 7 p.m.

Police:?2 men found drinking in vehicle

NELLISTON – Jesse Joseph Tomlinson, 17, of 24 Stone Arabia St., and Christopher Michael Stetin, 20, of 9 East Main St., were charged with unlawful possession of an alcoholic beverage with intent to consume, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies said Tomlinson and Stetin were found drinking in a vehicle parked on Brightman Street at the entrance to Nelliston Park. An appearance ticket was issued on the scene.

Both are set to appear in Palatine Town Court on Thursday at 7 p.m. to answer the charges.

Unlicensed operation charged

JOHNSTOWN – Theodore C. Marcais, 26, of 23 S. William St., was charged by city police at 7:19 a.m. Wednesday with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and failure to obey a traffic-control device.

Police said his vehicle was stopped on West Madison Avenue.

He will appear later in City Court.

JOHNSTOWN – Michael A. Yennard, 20, of 2971 Route 29A, Gloversville, was charged by city police at 2:19 a.m. Sunday with failure to obey a traffic-control device, unlicensed operation, switched plates, unregistered motor vehicle, uninsured motor vehicle and uninspected motor vehicle.

Police said his vehicle was stopped on West Main Street.

He will appear later in City Court.

Marijuana possession alleged

JOHNSTOWN – Shaun M. Hale, 33, of 17 N. Water St., was charged by city police at 2:45 a.m. Sunday with unlawful possession of marijuana, unlicensed operation, disobeying a traffic-control device, uninsured motor vehicle and unregistered motor vehicle.

Police said his vehicle was stopped on East Main Street.

He will appear later in City Court.

Vehicle strikes victim at fight scene:?police

JOHNSTOWN – Sean J. Price, 22, of 28 S. Melcher St., was charged by city police at 10:30 p.m. Sunday with leaving the scene of a personal-injury accident and second-degree reckless endangerment.

Police said he was charged after officers investigated a report of a fight in the street on Glenwood Avenue. Police said Price’s vehicle hit a person while leaving the fight and he left the scene.

Price was held for arraignment in City Court.

Disorderly conduct,

intoxication alleged

JOHNSTOWN – Omayra Cabrera, 43, of 36 Third St., Gloversville, was charged by city police at 2:20 a.m. Saturday with disorderly conduct.

Police said she was intoxicated on North Market Street, and officers believed she was a danger to herself.

She was held at the police station before being released with a ticket for City Court, police said.

GLOVERSVILLE – Helen T. Oarr, 42, of 45 S. Main St., apartment 4, was arrested by city police Wednesday and charged with disorderly conduct, a violation.

Police said officers were dispatched to the area of 235 S. Main St. for a report of an intoxicated female “out of control.”

Upon arrival, police said, officers observed Oarr yelling repeatedly in the vicinity of the Rail Trail near the intersection with South Main Street.

She was processed and arraigned in City Court, where she was released on her own recognizance to appear at a later date.

Unlicensed operation charged

JOHNSTOWN – Taneshia M. Williams, 22, of 69 S. Judson St., apartment 2, Gloversville, was charged by city police at 7:40 a.m. Monday with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and equipment violation.

Police said she was charged on North Comrie Avenue.

She will appear later in City Court.

Police: Woman stole from Walmart

AMSTERDAM – Theresa Dorries, 29, of 11 Clinton St. was charged by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office with petit larceny April 28.

According to deputies, Dorries was charged after she stole an assortment of merchandise from the Walmart in Amsterdam. Dorries was released on an appearance ticket for Town of Amsterdam Court on May 22.

AMSTERDAM – Maria C. Bello, 20, of 224 Forest Ave., was charged by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office with petit larceny May 2.

According to deputies, Bello was charged after she stole an assortment of merchandise from the Walmart in Amsterdam. Bello was released on an appearance ticket for Town of Amsterdam Court on May 22.

Woman allegedly

violated parole

GLOVERSVILLE – Tammy M. Auspelmyer, 47, of 76 N. Main St., apartment 2, was arrested by city police Wednesday and charged with a violation of parole.

Police said officers accompanied by a New York state parole officer went to Auspelmyer’s residence and placed her under arrest based on an arrest warrant that was issued for violating the conditions of her parole.

She was sent to the Fulton County Jail.
