H.S. Softball Roundup: Duanesburg rolls past Canajoharie, 24-5

CANAJOHARIE – Rachel Gamache went 3-for-4 with a home run, triple, two RBIs and four runs scored for Duanesburg in a 24-5 win over Canajoharie in a Western Athletic Conference softball game Saturday.

Lia Schettine was 4-for-6 with a double for the Eagles, while Tess Bloom was 3-for-5 with two doubles. Devon Hennel and Sydney Foland each had three hits for Duanesburg, which pounded out 23 hits in the game.

Bri Slater was 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs for Canajoharie (8-5 overall, 7-4 WAC), while Shyanna Logan, Morgan Gray and Carly Baker each had two hits. Jenna Shepard and Lauren Balfe added doubles for the Lady Cougars.

Middleburgh 10, Galway 7

GALWAY – Jenna Brown had a double, single and two RBIs to lead Middleburgh to a WAC win over Galway.

Sydni Millum, Bailey Wood and Amelia Petrosino each had two singles for the Knights.

Jessi Freebern had a two-run home run in the seventh inning for Galway. She also had a triple for the Golden Eagles. Sabrina Williams added three singles for Galway.
