FMCC softball wraps up season

AUBURN – The Fulton-Montgomery Community College softball team traveled to Cayuga Community College for two games on a rainy Saturday afternoon. The wet conditions made play difficult for both teams.

FMCC won the first game 15-7, before Cayuga rebounded to win the second game, 14-0.

In the first game, Brittany Keator (Roxbury) started for FMCC and pitched a complete game, earning the six-inning win. Center fielder Ally Ostrander (Gloversville) opened the game with a triple and added a single for the Lady Raiders, while Stephanie Rice (Duanesburg), Courtney Putnam (Fonda) and Kelsey Taber (New Lebanon) each hit two singles.

In the second game, Cayuga had a six-run second inning and coasted to a 14-0 win.
