H.S. Softball Roundup: Queensbury rallies to stop Lady Patriots

QUEENSBURY – The Broadalbin-Perth Lady Patriots battled Queensbury to a draw through the first six innings before the Lady Spartans’ Katelyn Ripley scored in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Queensbury the 3-2 victory in Foothills softball action Thursday.

Rachel Orapello and Keyana Fariello both doubled for Broadalbin-Perth.

HUDSON FALLS – Jennifer Vickery connected for a home run and a triple, but it was not enough to overcome the 14-strikeout performance by Hudson Falls pitcher Tanner Barton as the Huskies dropped the league decision.

JOHNSTOWN – Danielle Aceto doubled and Meghan LeDoux and Abby Bobbette singled to account for the Lady Bills’ hits in Thursday’s Foothills Council contest.

South Glens Falls got home runs from Brooke Snyder, Jill Ostrander and Emily Sharpe in the win.
