H.S. Baseball Roundup: South Glens Falls tops B-P

BROADALBIN – Logan Touse went 3-for-3 with a double to lead South Glens Falls to a 10-5 win over Broadalbin-Perth in a Foothills Council baseball game Monday.

Robert Olsen, Gabe Stark, Nolin Huntley and Jacob Dubay each had doubles for South Glens Falls (5-5 overall, 3-4 Foothills)

Tyler Schmidt and Noah Martin each had doubles for Broadalbin-Perth (2-8 overall, 2-5 Foothills).

It was the seventh straight loss for the Patriots, who are scheduled to travel to South Glens Falls on Wednesday for a 4:30 p.m. contest.

The Spartans improved to 8-1 overall and 7-0 in Foothills Council play with the win.

Kyle Lancto drove in the only run on a fielder’s choice for Albany Academy (5-1 overall, 4-1 Colonial), while Jake Mayette had two hits.

Zak Shaw allowed five hits and struck out nine for Fonda-Fultonville (4-3 overall, 2-3 Colonial).
