Man burglarized town home: police
NORTHAMPTON – A Gloversville man was arrested for breaking into a town home and stealing a number of electronic devices, police said.
Jason E. Pepper, 22, was charged April 11 with second-degree burglary, a felony.
Police said a trooper was dispatched March 25 to a home in the town because of a burglary. The victim stated he arrived home March 24, but did not notice until the next day the front door was damaged – from where it had been pried open – and the screen had been removed from the bedroom window, police said.
Police said a jar of change, five iPods, $400 in cash and two Android tablets were missing. The trooper got photographs of footprints outside the residence, police said.
After several area interviews, police said, Pepper was arrested. A pair of Carolina workboots were secured as evidence, police said.
Pepper was arraigned in Town Court and sent to the Fulton County Correctional Facility on $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond. He is scheduled to return to Town Court on May 8.
