Police to enforce parking rules

GLOVERSVILLE – Police Chief Donald VanDeusen said parking restrictions will be enforced in the area of Darling Field during Fulton United Soccer Club activities this season.

He said the department will have “zero tolerance” for parking in no-parking zones in the area of the field.

“We are going to enforce [the parking] as it’s currently marked,” the chief said.

He said with the available parking at the field being opened up, he believes the streets will be less congested during the soccer club’s games.

He said the parking needs to be enforced to allow emergency vehicles to reach the field or any of the nearby residences in the event of an emergency.
