GLENS FALLS – Matt Szurek had two singles, a double and three RBIs to lead Johnstown to a 15-2 Foothills Council win over Glens Falls on Wednesday.

Connor Rodecker had a single, double and three RBIs for Johnstown (4-3 overall, 3-2 Foothills), while Joey Henderson had a double and three RBIs.

Lance Akins had a single and a double for Glens Falls (2-3 Foothills), while Andrew Corlew had a single, double and an RBI.

Johnstown is scheduled to travel to Queensbury on Friday at 4:30 p.m.

MAYFIELD – Canajoharie scored 10 times in the second inning on its way to a Western Athletic Conference win over Mayfield.

Colin Davis had three singles for Canajoharie (2-3 overall, 2-3 WAC), while Joe Winsman and Zach Ouderkirk each had two singles. Lucas Sossei added a double and a single for the Cougars.

Bobby Gates had a single and a double for Mayfield (2-3 overall, 2-3 WAC), while Austin Lair also had a double. Matt Messina, Alex Charbonneau, Luke VanNostrand and Jordan VanNostrand each had singles for the Panthers.

Mayfield is scheduled to travel to Berne-Knox-Westerlo today for a 4:30 p.m. contest, while Canajoharie is scheduled to travel to Cobleskill-Richmondville for a non-league game.

ST. JOHNSVILLE – Jesse Heroth pitched a four-hitter to improve to 4-0 on the season for Fort Plain in a win over Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville.

Drew Fureno had three singles and three runs scored for the Hilltoppers, while Cody Logan and Jim May Jr. each had two singles. Aiden VanLoan had a single and two RBIs for Fort Plain (6-0 overall, 5-0 WAC).

Devan Battisti had a triple for Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville (4-3 overall, 3-2 WAC), while Dylan Klock added a double.

GALWAY – Joe Schmidt and Owen O’Reilly combined on a three-hitter Wednesday to Saratoga Central Catholic to a WAC win over Galway.

The win was the 450th career victory for Saratoga Catholic coach Phonsey Lambert.

Ryan Czarnecki went 4-for-4 with two runs scored for the Saints (3-0 overall, 3-0 WAC), while O’Reilly went 2-for-4 with an RBI.

JOHNSTOWN – Jonardy Anil tripled to lead off the bottom of the seventh inning, and pinch runner Jared Gallup scored on a single by Kolbie Glionna to lift Amsterdam to a win over Albany at Fulton-Montgomery Community College.

Anil also had a double for the Rams, who improved to 2-3 overall and 2-3 in Big 10 play.

Andrew Rouse and Brett Flint each had two singles for Amsterdam, while Julian Gallup had a triple. Gallup also earned the win on the mound, allowing three hits and striking out seven in six innings.

Amsterdam is scheduled to host LaSalle on Friday at FMCC at 4:30 p.m.

LANSINGBURGH – Craig Craven hurled a five-hitter with eight strikeouts to lead Lansingburgh to a win over Fonda-Fultonville.

Luke Fane hit a walk-off sacrifice fly for the Knights, who improved to 6-3 overall and 5-1 in Colonial Council play.

Kevin Myers and Anthony Sinicropi each had two hits for FFCS (3-2 overall, 1-2 Colonial).

The Braves are slated to host Mechanicville on Friday at 4:30 p.m.

Dolgeville 7, Cooperstown 4, 8 innings

COOPERSTOWN – Johann Doerrer had a home run to power Dolgeville to an extra-inning win over Cooperstown.

Kasey Foster had a triple for the Blue Devils (2-3 overall), while Darin Darling and Josh Gross each had doubles.

Foster also earned the complete-game win on the mound for Dolgeville, allowing seven hits.
