Healthy Heart Day set for Friday
JOHNSTOWN – HealthLink Littauer, the community health and wellness service of Nathan Littauer Hospital and Nursing Home, announced its Twelfth Annual Healthy Heart Day is rescheduled for Friday, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the YMCA lobby, 213 Harrison St. Ext.
“Heart disease is still the number one killer in this country,” Sue Cridland, Littauer’s director of community education, said in a news release. “We’re offering people the opportunity to have their blood pressure checked, get a body fat analysis, learn their body mass index, relieve stress with a chair massage, and talk with health, nutrition and exercise professionals about making heart healthy lifestyle changes.”
Representatives will be attending from a variety of organizations, including: Littauer’s cardio-pulmonary services, the Cancer Services Program, MVP Healthcare, Office For Aging, Project Action and the YMCA.
The free event will be open to the public and no appointments are needed.
