More than $8M to aid housing work

AMSTERDAM – An Amsterdam group will get more than $8 million in awards as part of a plan to build and preserve affordable housing across the state.

According to a news release from the office of Gov. Andrew Cuomo, Woodrow Townhomes will receive $8.2 million, which will help preserve 100 units of subsidized housing.

The $95 million in funds recently released to groups across the state were made available through various low-interest loans and tax credits, the release said.
