South High stops Gloversville, 12-1

JOHNSTOWN – Amber Bourdeau struck out 10 batters and scattered three hits as South Glens Falls defeated Gloversville at Friday Johnstown High School.

Jenny Vickery, Katlyn Pierce and Emily Washburn all singled for Gloversville, while Devon Devis picked up an RBI.

Teyler Nassivera homered for the Bulldogs and Emily Sharpe hit two doubles. Richele Bock added a double and Brooke Snyder and Jill Ostrander had two hits each for South High.

ST. JOHNSVILLE – Marissa Nellis and Megan Bradt drove in two runs apiece and Samantha Mumford had two hits to lead the Wolves to victory Friday afternoon.

OESJ pitcher Leann Clark struck out seven to pick up the victory.

Duanesburg 16, Mayfield 1

DUANESBURG -Sydney Benton and Caitlin Tomlinson collected the only hits, both singles, for the Lady Panthers as they dropped the league decision.

Tess Bloom led Duanesburg with a three run home run, two singled and five RBIs. Sydney Foland recorded 10 strike outs in the circle for Duanesburg.

Canajoharie 11, Fort Plain 9

CANAJOHARIE – Haley Kilmartin connected for two doubles and a single to drive in three runs for Fort Plain but it was not enough as Canajoharie used a seven run sixth inning to pull out the league win.

Bri Slater led the Lady Cougars with three hits including a double, while Brittany Pitonza had three singles.

Sierra Logan contributed two hits and an RBI to the Lady Hilltoppers attack.
