Indians rally past Patriots
GLOVERSVILLE – The Glens Falls Indians rallied to tie the Broadalbin-Perth Patriots then pull out a 3-2 10-inning Foothills Council victory Friday afternoon at Husky Field.
The Patriots broke out to an early 2-0, producing runs in the first and third innings.
The Indians tied the game with runs in the sixth and seventh to send the game into extra innings.
Brett Getman connected for a triple, a single and a stolen base for the Patriots, while Joe Zarecki doubled and Luigi Magliocca stole two bases.
Logan Akins and Dave Mauro doubled for Glens Falls, while Andrew Corlew had two hits and an RBI.

JOHNSTOWN – The Spartans jumped out to a 3-1 first-inning lead and held off the Sir Bills to remain unbeaten.
Zack Parsons, Brett Rodriguez and Chris Pontiff combined to pitch a three-hitter for Queensbury.
Rodriguez added two singles and two RBIs for the Spartans, who also got a double by Joe Marasco.

CANAJOHARIE – The Fort Plain Hilltoppers earned coach Craig Phillips his 699th career coaching victory Friday afternoon.
Fort Plain pitcher Jesse Heroth took a no-hitter into the seventh inning before the Cougars’ Jace Fox singled to break up the bid.
Heroth finished the game with 12 strikeouts on the mound and a double and run scored at the plate.
Eric Orologio connected for a double and a single, while Drew Fureno and James May Jr. both had singles.
Dillan Veeder picked up an RBI for Canajoharie.
The Hilltoppers (3-0 overall, 2-0) will try to give Phillips his 700th career win Monday when they host Schoharie in a WAC contest at Phillips Field at the Fort Plain Sports Complex. Game time is slated for 4:30 p.m.
