FFCS competes at Colonial Relays
ALBANY – The Fonda-Fultonville boys and girls track and field teams turned in several strong showings Monday at the Colonial Council Relays at Albany Academy.
In the boys meet, the Braves won the 4 x 1,600 relay as the team of Dylan DeSorbo, Dan Westman, Damion Freeman and Cameron Gilligan posted a time of 19:56.6.
FFCS also won the 3 x 110 hurdles relay as the team of Michael Sweet, Christian VanAvery and Tristan Nellis posted a time of 49.5 seconds.
Gilligan, Westman, DeSorbo and Dalton Hunter combined to post a winning time of 9:02.8 in the 4 x 800 relay, while Sweet, Nellis and Freeman won the 3 x 400 hurdles relay with a time of 3:15.0.
The Braves also won the pole vault, triple jump and long jump relays.
FFCS also placed second in the 4 x 100 relay, third in the 4 x 400 relay, fourth in the 4 x 200 relay, fourth in the distance medley relay, fifth in the discus relay, sixth in the sprint medley relay, sixth in the shot put relay and sixth in the high jump relay.
FFCS also was second in the freshman-sophomore boys 4 x 100 relay and third in the junior varsity boys 4 x 400 relay,
In the girls meet, the team of Lindsay Therrien, Ashlee Jones and Emma Rhodes won the 3 x 100 hurdles relay with a time of 53.9 seconds.
In the 4 x 200 relay, the team of Skyler Hesch, Kate Hanson, Avery Cook and Sarah Subik won with a time of 2:02.3.
The Lady Braves also won the triple jump relay
FFCS was second in the 4 x 1,600, 3 x 400 hurdles, 4 x 100, pole vault and long jump relays
The Lady Braves also were third in the discus relay, fourth in the 4 x 800 relay, fourth in the 4 x 400 relay, fourth in the high jump relay and sixth in the distance medley relay.
FFCS also won the junior varsity girls 4 x 800 relay and placed second in the junior varsity 4 x 400 relay.
