St. Mary’s offers infection programs
AMSTERDAM – St. Mary’s Healthcare, which is approved by the New York State Department of Health and Education to provide course work and training in infection control and barrier precautions for licensed health professionals, will offer two state-mandated infection-control programs.
They will be offered May 19 from 5:30 to 7 p.m., and May 23 from 3 to 4:30 p.m.
Programs will be held in the St. Mary’s Carondelet Auditorium at 380 Guy Park Ave.
Participants are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of class.

Register by sending a check for $20 payable to St. Mary’s Healthcare. Send to St. Mary’s Healthcare, Education Department, 427 Guy Park Ave., Amsterdam, NY 12010. The registration deadline is one week before the session of choice. A certificate of completion will be issued at the end of each program.
Health professionals licensed in New York state must receive training in infection control and barrier precautions every four years. This program is for physicians, physician assistants, optometrists, podiatrists, dental hygienists, special assistants, license practical nurses, registered professional nurses and dentists.
