Nethaway, Hoagboon playing for UAlbany

ALBANY – Fonda-Fultonville graduate Josh Nethaway and Mayfield graduate D.J. Hoagboon are both playing for the University at Albany baseball team.

On Saturday, the Great Danes lost 6-0 and 14-4 in a doubleheader at Bryant.

In the first game, Nethaway and Hoagboon each went 1-for-3 for Albany.

On Tuesday, Albany lost 8-2 at Fordham.

Hoagboon had a triple for the Great Danes.

Nethaway is hitting .271 with 11 RBIs through 18 games this season, while Hoagboon is hitting .277 for the Great Danes.

Albany (4-15 overall) hosts America East Conference foe UMass Lowell for a three-game series this weekend at Varsity Field. Saturday’s doubleheader is slated for 1 p.m.
