Flood watch issued for local area
The National Weather Service Friday issued a flood watch for Fulton and Montgomery counties
The flood watch will be in effect from today through Monday morning, according to news release from the National Weather Service issued Friday.
Much of Fulton and Montgomery County will be under the flood watch from Saturday at 8 p.m. to Monday morning.
Portions of Northwestern Connecticut, Western Massachusetts, Southern Vermont and East Central New York, excluding the Southern Adirondacks, will be under watch.
Moderate to heavy rainfall may occur, along with snow melt from temperatures hitting the mid-to upper-40’s.
Those living in areas prone to flooding are advised to be prepared.
