Woman charged with grand larceny
MAYFIELD – A town woman who formerly managed two Lexington Center residences was charged by Fulton County sheriff’s deputies Wednesday, accused of taking $2,700 from residents.
Deputies said Sarah B. Lathrop, 37, of 327 Route 29, was charged with two felony counts of fourth-degree grand larceny.
Deputies said she was charged in connection with her former position as manager of two Lexington residences in the towns of Mayfield and Johnstown. The sheriff’s office was contacted by Lexington Center after an audit resulted in inconsistencies in residents’ accounts.
Lathrop is accused of taking $2,700 from the period of December 2012 to November 2013.
She will appear later in Mayfield Town Court and Johnstown Town Court.
