BROADALBIN – Residents of the village may see a tax increase, according to a tentative budget for 2014-15.

The $1.12 million tentative budget has a $214,000 tax levy. The current $1.08 million budget has a $210,000 tax levy.

In Broadalbin, the proposed tax rate would be $3.94 per $1,000 of assessed property value, a 5-cent increase compared to 2013-14. In Mayfield, the tax rate would go up 10 cents, rising to $4.84 per $1,000.

The Village Board could approve the budget after a public hearing in April.
